I parked the car and saw two girls near the garbage container, the one with a stainless steel chimney. They were about 13 years old and they were talking into the stainless steel chimney. Suddenly a hand rose out of the tube, it carried tomatoes and bell-peppers. Then a small boy climbed out of the dumpster. To me it seemed as if he rose up from the underworld but it was only a garbage can where the shop dumped the groceries that were out of date. When I came back from the shopping the children were sitting on the shady sidewalk and eating vegetables and small yoghurts.

They were looking at me as if they were ashamed but who really should be ashamed are all of us adults. Portugal is sliding down into poverty and children start to eat from garbage cans and I never see this of the news. The news is full of the IMF loan of billions of euros but I never see anything about where the real crisis is at this moment. Money is an illusion but crawling out of a garbage can to get some food is a reality --- that is crisis.

Every day that a child has to crawl into a garbage can to get an, out of date, meal is a very strange day.
We feel obliged to protect the mechanism of economy at any cost while children's rights are violated with tremendous ease.

These rights are basically:

Provision: Children have the right to an adequate standard of living, health care, education and services, and to play and recreation. These include a balanced diet, a warm bed to sleep in, and access to schooling.

Protection: Children have the right to protection from abuse, neglect, exploitation and discrimination. This includes the right to safe places for children to play; constructive child rearing behavior, and acknowledgment of the evolving capacities of children.

Participation: Children have the right to participate in communities and have programs and services for themselves. This includes children's involvement in libraries and community programs, youth voice activities, and involving children as decision-makers

Rights were copied from Wikipedia.

Ego versus non-Ego (part 3)

So, if a lack of Ego is a disastrous situation and an excess of Ego is a big pain in the butt, is there something like a healthy Ego?
If we look at Freud’s definition of Ego than we see that it is the capability to defend yourself from situation that cause a real threat. It is like the roar of the Lion in the jungle to warn.
It is the capability to interact with others without disappearing in these relations, almost like the hierarchy in a pack of wolves.
It is the capability to love and dance freely with the beauty of the Paradise Bird.
This is healthy Ego, it is dynamic and has no problem in changing and connecting to the personal Essence, it is a mechanism between the Essence and the outer world.
Since the Essence is vulnerable, the Ego decide when to protect it and when to be open, this is a healthy movement. When somebody tries to assault you, your reaction will be either to fight or to run away. You won’t stay with a big smile on your face and say, “You want to rob me, go ahead, I am all yours.”

The problems arise when the Super-Ego is becoming too strong. The Super-Ego is what we absorp from the outer world, the voices of our parents, society, telling us that we are no good.
A healthy Ego would maybe laugh and do what it thinks right but when the pressure is too much it will develop a defense mechanism by either giving up it’s healthy Ego or building a strong fortress where noone can come in. (and they throw away the key).

This is where Ego becomes a huge problem, this is where Kings go to war and politicians cheat.
This where people get lost in drugs, alcohol and violence.
This is where people get killed in car accidents.
This is where people start to eat junk food.
This is where parents send their childern to schools that teach them nothing good.
This is where the world got lost!

Yes, we should work towards dissolving that kind of Ego but we should not throw away the baby with the bathing water.
Looking for a healthy Ego is the best present that you can give to the world.

Do not start saying that we should all love eachother when you can hardly love yourself, be real! Pretending is part of unhealthy Ego.
Do not run away from Ego just because it frightens you. Face it, breath in it, look in the mirror, accept what you see and step by step look beyond.

Ego versus non-Ego (part 2)

Excess of Ego is not only a disaster for the person but also for those directly connected to the person. Where the first, lack of Ego, had no limits and no protection, this excess of Ego is overprotected, only gives limits to others and is itself very limited although they have the idea that they are a great example for the world to look up to. Where the first had no possibility to reflect on themselves simply because they have no clear image about who they are, this person in excess has such a rigid image that reflection is also impossible.
Where the first has a desires to develop Ego, just to survive, the second has so much Ego that there is a colossal fear of losing it. They would feel completely undressed in front of a big crowd with no place to hide. Therefore, instead of just losing it, they should start to explore their Ego, what are the functions and what is it protecting? Where one has to climb up the ladder, the other has to go down, step by step. Somewhere in the middle they should shake hands and join forces because there the first will be able to have this social encounter without disappearing in utter fear while the other will be able to really see the first for who he or she is without judging and looking down on that creature.
The road to non-Ego can only be achieved by going thru Ego.

The result will be Essential Being.
CLICK on the image to see

Ego versus non-Ego (part 1)

We often encounter confusion in people when we talk about the need for some to construct Ego. Most people are convinced that ego is something to get rid of, based on teachings from the oriental traditions. The path towards illumination is the path towards an egoless state of Being, this is true and sounds beautiful but a lot of people look only at the destination of this journey and they forget to look at the first few steps that they will have to take. They read a book on the subject and think that their journey has begun. The journey has begun long before you started to read the book, I do not know when the journey really started, probably it has been forever. It may be part of the Soul that incarnated the fetus in the whom but it does not matter when it started, more interesting is looking at where you are now!
Who are you now?
There are persons with an excess of Ego and there are persons with a complete lack of Ego, the latter we call the Unborn Self, the others are tough guys or girls. To enter the journey of loosing Ego, you will have to be aware of the ego that you have. Awareness is the first step and you cannot lose something that you do not have and I can tell you that those with no or little Ego are no illuminated persons. Therefore the lack of Ego does not define the egoless state of Being that the Orientals talk about. It takes Awareness, a lot of awareness that you have harvested through all of life’s difficulties. You do not gain that awareness by sitting on a Zen pillow and starring at the wall, it may be a help to develop focus. Awareness becomes possible in the contact with other human beings. We all know the stories of monks or even Buddha, they had to leave their safe monasteries and wander into the world to become aware and through this enlightened. Even Jesus had to leave his parents house and step into the world to find his most difficult tasks in life to finally die and alone then be prepared for resurrection. It is a metaphorical story but the symbolism in there is so true and applies for all of us.
The lack of Ego is a disaster for the person. They normally have little limits and surely do not know how to put limits on others. The result is that they are usually easily invaded and have no protection. Emotions hit them like tidal waves and the abuse of alcohol or drugs is a common way of escaping from reality. You cannot call them Saints and I would not call them sinners either, they are victimized, drifting without any direction, feeling miserable.

It takes some ego to be able to deal with all the challenges of life. It will give you security and self-esteem but most of all it will provide a structure that you need to start contacting others in a way that facilitates awareness. When you do need feel lost in the social context you can start reflecting on your relations, your contribution and your needs. This will bring you in contact with your essential Being, once you are in contact with this Essence it will take over the structure that Ego brought and losing Ego is a logical desire there. It is just, the next step! Constructing Ego is an important step to start losing it afterwards.

Biosynthesis and ecology

Dear friends,

I am worried.

Biosynthesis is looking for the essence of a person and trying to (re)connect to our essential being. This is a process of exploring in a respectful manner, searching for the true values and resources of a person, in order to reveal and maintain them.

Our vision in relation to ecology is not different. Our natural environment is a reflection of our essential values or the lack of the values in case of disconnection. Nature is a powerful teacher for those who want to learn, it is also a sustainable source of energy for the human being, flora and wildlife. We, human beings, are part of nature and the cycles. We are not above nature, if we destroy nature we will eventually destroy mankind. We will create an unlivable world for our children and grandchildren.

A lot of destruction comes from governments allowing people to prospect natural resources in a destructive way, only because of short time, big profits. Money in some greedy hands. Look at the rainforests all over the world, they provide our lungs with the essential oxygen.

These disasters are happening on huge scale but they always begin on a small scale and we often have the illusion that the small scale thing is not really a problem, but it is because it will spread like cancer causing death and destruction, unless we change our approach of what is important in life.

At this moment the Portuguese government is considering to approve an open mining project to a private company. This means destructing the face of an ecological area, pollution all around, killing all sustainable tourism activities. This area is home of the Iberian Lynx and the Bonelli Eagle, beautiful creatures but there are also people living in the area. We all know that most private companies only care about profit and they do not give a damn about the environment, after exploring and taking all that is profitable they will leave it for dead.

Please help us defend and preserve the natural beauty of the Monchique mountains in the Algarve, Portugal.

sign the petition, thanks a lot.

http://www.thepetitionsite.com/1/save-Monchique-from-greedy-hands/

The true spirit of Christmas.

Jingle bells, shining lights, presents and Santa Claus in his red suite (invented by Coca Cola).

The media give us an image of a neurotic ‘I love you all’ event, once a year. Many people stick to that but of course the true spirit of Christmas is something very different.

The true spirit has to do with reflecting, exploring the darkness and shadows of your soul and see how to bring light in there.
What happened during the last year that made you close your heart, what happened during your life that made you tough on yourself and others. Reflecting on these matter and next share them with the people you love. That is the true spirit of the sharing of presents with Christmas. Connecting on a deep level with yourself and from there with others, being vulnerable, open and receptive, willing to give yourself and receive the others just the way they are.

Find people that are willing to share this Christmas spirit with you. You may find them in unexpected places while you may find that the ones you really would like to share with are not available. Just focus on yourself, be like a Christmas tree, right up, with light and beauty for those who want to look at it.

Merry Christmas and a happy New Year

Therapy & Coaching (part 2)

Therapy is integrating the past into the present.
It means giving a name to all the animals in your dark forest. Acknowledging everything that was always ignored, allowing the pain of the Past into the Now. No need to push it away.
Shedding all the tears that were never shed.

Coaching is using this experience to redefine your future relation with others but above all, with yourself.
Changing your goals in accordance with a new perspective of yourself.
Adopting more adequate values for those that we left in the therapeutic process.

Therapy is cleaning your garden, turning the soil around and taking the weeds out.
Coaching is deciding what flowers or vegetables you want, what is the right moment for planting and when it will be time to harvest.

Therapy & Coaching (part 1)

Biosynthesis is a somatic psychotherapy. It is a holistic approach of the human being that unites the cognitive, somatic and spiritual aspects in search for essential being.
It is developed by David Boadella based on the work of Freudian therapists, Wilhelm Reich and Alexander Lowen. There is also a strong influence from several pre-natal psychologists and neurological scientists. Sylvia Specht brought in the energetic flow work based on the philosophy by Bob Moore.

Essential somatic coaching has the same basic influences.
Next to that, there are influences from postmodern philosophers and transpersonal psychologists like Ken Wilber, Thomas Moore, Stephen Levine and Zen teachers like Osho. Mindfulness, an important tool in ESC, derived from the ancient Za-Zen mediation technique.
ESC is open to enrichment from other techniques and philosophies as long as they are not redundant.

Why ESC when Biosynthesis already has such a complete vision of the human being?

For that, we have to look at global development. The main keyword for our time is probably, ‘Efficiency’. People ask for focused and short-term processes. Their agendas are full and everyday they try to get the most from life. With the industrial revolution that started in the 19th century, everything changed in the world. Psychology and psychotherapy developed as a logical result because there was a need for them; nowadays they are fully integrated in our way of living.
In the end of 20th century, computers changed our lifestyle dramatically. The modern human starts to think digitally in a partial virtual world. This has a huge effect on how we experience the world and what we want from it.

Here we have to look at the differences between therapy and coaching.
The main difference is that therapy pretends to help you integrate the Past into the Present. Understanding your past makes you realize why you live your life the way you do. You become aware of patrons and central motivations, and then you can change them where necessary.
In general, this is a long and profound process. It is intense and in the end gratifying and will change the foundations of your life.
No doubt, it takes a lot of time and is therefore costly.

Not everybody wants to spend so much money or commit to a process that often takes years. Today, people want solutions, focused and quick, they want to move on with their lives.
Here Essential Somatic Coaching has an important role because its core is preparing you or the near future. It is structured, focused and clear where therapy is often strolling through the darkness of your Soul without knowing what the next step will be.

Do not get me wrong because I do not intend to say that one is better than the other is.
They are just different approaches and it is very likely that who started with therapy at a certain moment wants to develop clear tools to handle the near future while those that achieved these tools through coaching may want to explore their deeper motivations and get a better understanding of their foundations in life.
It is a matter of priorities.

(to be continued)

The world is my oyster.

Today I am in a writing mood.
I share a little secret with you, it’s only to avoid other things that I should be doing but do not fancy at this moment.
The world is my oyster, I do whatever I like to.

Sometime ago I already talked about the fact that everything is or should be pulsating. From the smallest cell in your body to the whole of the immense cosmos, always expanding and shrinking.
This is not only true for living things that we can sort of touch or see but also for thoughts, cultural movements, religion, anything.
If the pulsation is limited or even frozen, there will be sickness soon.

I woke up thinking about the Islamic invasion of the western world, as some, every time more, people call it. I realized that the rise and downfall of religion is a clear example of the pulsation law.

For centuries the Catholic religion has dominated the world, the very essence of this religion (of any religion) contains truth. Instead of only valuing this truth, the people started to value power. They started to rape, murder and violate others just to expand the religion in the name of God and subsequently gain more power. Millions were killed in these processes of Christening.
Such a paradox, because God is supposed to be Love.

With all this misuse and abuse it is predictable that the interest in and influence of, this religion is going down. The law of pulsation says that if something shrinks, something else will start to expand. It is a natural life process.

Therefore the Islam is expanding, as well as, more alternative new age thinking on religion. People complaining about the expansion of the Islam should realize that this was made possible, only, because of the abuse in the Catholic religion. If they had valued the true essence, instead of allowing the corrupt to take the rudder, what would the world look like today?
If you want to talk of blame, what is there to learn?

Of course, we can see the same thing happing in the Islam.
It is growing, expanding but the preaching of hatred and violence, discrimination is already preparing its downfall that will come maybe in a few hundred years, who knows.
There is always room the make a constructive shift.

In the meantime, for everyone, it is important to protect your own essential identity, instead of turning to rejection and discrimination.

Include others without adapting to them, make your boundaries clear without violating the boundaries of others, let your voice be heard without shouting down the other. Look at others as if you were looking at yourself, what good do you see and is there to learn for each of us?

The world is your oyster, step inside with respect for the pearl that is growing.

Health Care Paranoid Cow Syndrome (HCPCS)

A few weeks ago I went to a private hospital because of a really painful kidney stone. In a symbolic meaning these stones are petrified tears which makes sense to me. Painful emotions that were not or not completely expressed in a pulsatile flow.
But that is not what I want to write about today.

After entering the hospital and showing my insurance card, I was treated like a King, a dying King. I was put on a bed and given painkillers, what a relief, but I could sit in a chair with no problem. Seeing the bill later; lying on the bed for 1 hour, price €130.
Than they started to make X-rays, abdomen and lungs ( for a kidney stone) followed by Cat-scans €135 each and finally a echogram which was the only sensible thing to do for only €35. The whole bill was over €920 just to confirm what I already knew.

I was getting very suspicious, I felt like a cow being milked. There were two urologists coming to my expensive bed telling me that the best options was to take the stone out directly or I could leave it to see what nature would do.
I chose the last.

After a few days I was getting fever and the petrified tears were still blocking the way out. Extreme pains, so I went back to the hospital and asked to schedule a surgery to take the stone out, I needed some help.
It was scheduled for two days later. The morning I went to the hospital I felt that there was a difference, therefore I wanted to talk to the specialist and said that I did not want the surgery, just another echogram to see what has changed.

He agreed and send me to make to make more ten Cat-scans with contrast fluid, €137 each and since they had me planned for a day in the hospital they gave me a roll with ham and cheese and a drink €2500. The specialist ensured me to come back in a month to make more Cat-scans, very important.

From that day, I suffer from Health Care Paranoid Cow Syndrome.
I do not know whether a doctor is really caring about my health and giving me the best options or he or she just sees a fast growing bank account.

This was an expensive lesson, do not trust the doctor if your intuition is telling you otherwise. For the record, I also went to see alternative medicine that normally helps me well but this time did not result.

I understood that the only one to cry my tears is me, no-one else can do that for me. They just take advantage, at least in my allopathic case.

Body Mind (2)

The relation between body and mind is something so sensible that most of the time we do not notice it. When we think of something bad the body responds with tension of certain muscles, on the other hand when we think of something good or pleasant the body reacts with muscle relaxation.

The so called positive thinking is most of the time a stressful attempt to avoid all the negative thoughts that we have, even if we are not aware of them. Therefore this positive thinking will not help you because the body remains tense or will even tense more.

The real positive thinking is realizing that you are in this moment. When you read this, that is all there is, you and this text.

Because you took the time to sit down and read, it means that the past is not hunting you at this moment, nor is the future.
So relax your shoulders, belly feet, legs, eyes, neck and all you do is read calmly every word and breath in slowly knowing that all energy is coming your way, entering your system. When you breath out, feel the chair under your buttocks and let all body tension run out of your pores. You are here.

Your mind becomes so much more empty, silent and receptive for the miracle of life, the miracle of your Being. You can experience that you are the center of your world and everything is okay at this moment.

Body – Mind connection means being present in this moment.

Of course you have to prepare things for tomorrow and deal with other things that you did yesterday but do not bring your presence there into the future or past. Be here. Be Body Mind.

Sleep tight with a deep sigh and wake up fresh inhaling deeply.

XXX

Who am I & who are You ???

The majority of our western population spend their time in pretending to be someone that they are not. Driven by the need for being accepted as a useful member of our society they are willing to sacrifice all that is genuine, all that has true value. From very young, the children are stacked away in crèches while the older people are kept safely in nursing homes. In the meantime the adult generation steps into the daily rat race of keeping up appearances.
Earning a living as we call it.

But what is living if it takes away all that is really precious, our Essence.

In trying to construct an identity that society values, we do not hesitate to destruct the only real identity that we have.
Isn’t that crazy?

If you suspect that you might be in that illusionary rat race, it is about time to ask yourself.

??? Who am I ???
and next to that, look at your partner, chef, children, parents, friends and whoever falls into your life and ask
??? Who are You ???

This is the only way to end the spiral of craziness that we are in altogether. False identities corrupt, hurt, cause violence, hatred and immense suffering. Earth and Life should be paradise but we turn it into hell and nobody really knows why……..

Family matters and the Alpha principal

Of course family matters, they are important because they are our tribe in life. We were born there, we grew up looking each other in the eyes and knowing each other better then anyone else does.
The family has an identity, norms, rules and values that are specific for that family. Part of that identity is inherited from one generation to the other, another part is imposed through the alpha principal.
The most dominant family member colors the identity, often one of the parents and sometimes the children.
The adolescent age serves to consciously define your own identity and here many things go wrong. People either reject completely the family values and end up naked or they live in symbiosis and do not know how to define themselves. A life long struggle with the family is born. If this happens the best way to act is take a distance from the family and start to investigate your values, distinguish who you are, what remains. Don't wait for your family to resolve this because that will never happen. The struggle will go on until you resolve it within yourself and this includes accepting the others just the way they are.

A confusing process, indeed.

But it is difficult to clean your shoes while you remain standing in the mud.
Therapy can be of enormous help to redefine your identity. From there you may start to contact the family again but with a different attitude, a different Self awareness but still the same person-

become your own alpha.

The value of Catharsis

Catharsis means, the cleansing of pent up emotions. Normally it is a intense release of anger, jealousy, sadness or fear with a lot of screaming, breathing and movement.
In the sixties and seventies catharsis was very important in somatic therapies, it was like a crown on the work. But is it??
No, it is not. It is not the final objective of therapy, not at all.
It may be a door to integration but that depends on many things.
The most important thing is that the client is ready for the cathartic experience, if that is so, it will come as a natural flowing expression from the client.
When catharsis is provoked by pressure of the therapist or the group it seems to be something intense and the client will maybe feel released for a little while and then it will disappear because he or she was not ready. Waste of energy and often re-traumatizing the client.
The important part of the catharsis is the aftermath, the silence where the dust settles down. This silence is different from meditation where we focus on centering.
If the catharsis was true then it opens a door and here we can make the first step into the unknown. The unconscious where the repressed emotions waited for maybe a lifetime to be revealed.
Here many insight can pop up, you can integrate and you do not feel the need to express the same emotion over and over again.
But like I said, many cathartic explosions are only showing off, most of the time unconsciously but not always, so be aware.
If you can focus during the catharsis and there is a deep silence afterwards where you can start to explore you emotional cellar.
Well, so good for you.

A Life in the Day

John Lennon’s song “A day in the Life” was one of the most influential songs of the Beatles. Yes, I know that McCartney also did a part of the song, “Woke up, fell out of bed”, okay, okay.

Do we ever look to our life cycle in a day’s time?
We wake up, it is like being born again, coming out of a strange state of mind that is called Sleep. Or is it something else?
Then we start to organize our life, preparing for what some call struggle of survival. It is like our childhood and going into adolescence. After that, we close the door behind us and step into the street. Leaving the relatively safe place of our birth family, exposed to the ‘real’ world.

We work, study, communicate, we are busy until 18:00 and it is like we are building our life’s career and at a certain moment we come to the age of our pension. Some of us are looking forward to the evening of our life, doing the things we always wanted to do. Others are scared because they know that the night will be followed by the Big Sleep that we may compare with physical death. For those that have no dreams it means darkness, for the dreamers it will be a shift of perspective.

Looking back at our life, most of us we like to make changes, “If I could do it over again….”
Isn't it wonderful that our every day lifespan gives as the opportunity to make changes every 24 hours, we can do things all over again. We wake up young and refreshed, and we can do things differently this day… and we can die content at night.

Isn’t Life perfect, giving us these great opportunities in such a normal way that lots of us do not see them, it is too normal.

Lets help each other to wake up and open our eyes instead of falling out of bed. Like Lennon and McCartney composed together and at that time they didn’t like each other anymore but they were still working together, creating something beautiful.

We can work it out.

A Case of Enlightenment

Enlightenment is probably the most badly understood concept in our time. At least, most of the people I meet talk about a flash of all purifying light, an extreme change in your perception and behavior, Love, ultimate understanding, etc.

What they all have in common is that something radical is going to happen, a final transformation that will free you from ordinary earthly matters.

Such a disappointment when I tell that they already are enlightened, all the potential is there and has been all of the time. It is hard to make a convenient metaphor but I’ll give it a try.

Just imagine yourself in one of these dark and starry nights in full nature, the wind is whispering through the trees, an owl screams in the distance and you are all alone.
A falling star draws a fiery line in the sky but you do not see it because you are looking down to find your way in the darkness.
The wind sings a song with a million voices but you do not hear it because you can only hear your accelerated heartbeat.
The owl sends you a greeting but all you hear is a bird that may be disturbed by someone. And you are all alone, who is there?
Than you see a shadow on your path, Jesus Christ, is that someone looking for me or a thief trying to rob me? I better hide in the bushes.
You do not realize that the shadow is your own, cast by the moon. The moon is a symbol of birth and transformation, represented by the Goddess Hecate, the purifier.
Exploring the shadow could bring you an enormous insight, namely, that it belongs to you.Instead of walking with a tunnel vision and hearing, we should learn to stand still and to look up to see the stars and the moon, hear the song of a million voices and the salutation of the owl who happens to be a symbol of wisdom and ancient secrets. Just listen and watch to recognize that it is all there, enlightenment is a very complicated but simple issue, wake up.

We are born enlightened creatures but most of us prefer to crawl in the mud, no problem because we have a free will, we can do whatever we like, it is part of enlightenment.
Forgiving is important as a step on the way, but, it is not the final objective because it implies guilt. Forgiveness can not exist without blaming the other. First we blame and say that the other is guilty of something that did hurt us. Then we forgive.

It is a paradox, first we blame, then we forgive the other.

Forgiveness is a step on the way towards Freedom, the final goal is freedom. Once you understand that your life is yours only and that every action or non-action is your responsibility and to learn from, then maybe you can understand that nobody can blame you for that. Of course there are consequences for your actions but they also are yours and yours alone. You cannot be held guilty for living your life’s experience the way you created it, simply because it is your life.

Therefore, at a certain moment you will not be forgiving others anymore, nor blame them. You will simply live your life and I trust that when you reach that point your life will be an example for all.

Only when we connect positive and negative without judging them true Light will shine, all other light is an illusion. A wish to be better then we think we are, because we are still pushing our shadow away.

Freedom is embracing positive and negative, fuse and sparkle.

The importance of touch

My father in law died and was buried yesterday.
His funeral started with a mess in a chapel. A young priest with a merry round head preached to the people gathered in the small chapel. He talked about the importance of touch.

Touch is an important issue in a human life. We can touch a person with our eyes, with the words that we speak, we can metaphorically touch a person’s heart but the most important is maybe the physical touch. The physical touch can be clinical, casual, abusive or loving and supportive. What they all have in common is that they have an intention, nobody touches without any intention. Therefore touch is an intended movement from one to another.

When you touch another person with a loving, supportive intention, something magical happens. The person relaxes and seems to come to the point of contact, muscles there become more alive.
Touching someone in this way means confirming his or hers existence.
It is like saying, “I see you and respect you for who you are.”

Recognition is a vital ingredient of life and touch is a strong way of recognizing someone. Nowadays there are somatic psychotherapists that promote psychotherapy without touch. This is a reaction to the threat of sewing a person in puritan countries like the U.S.A. for sexual abuse in therapy. I am sure that this sometimes happens but if you know that 30% of all people, as children, were somehow sexually abused in their family we cannot say, let’s put all children in an orphanage directly after being born to prevent them from possible abusive family members.

Therefore, I admire the priest, whose name I do not know, for speaking freely about the importance of touching each other. Especially because the priests are scrutinized for all the sexual abuse that happen(s)(ed) in church. And it all started with a simple touch.
Jesus touched to heal, Judas kissed to betray and Lionel Ritchie sings, ‘It started with a kiss, never thought it would come to this.’

It is not in the touch itself but in the intention and awareness of the touching person.

Bio responsibility

Biosynthesis means integration of life.
In the Biosynthesis’s view this integration is not limited to the persons psychic, somatic or mental well-being. It stretches far beyond the personal limits and embraces our whole life system.

A person who is in contact with his or her essential being has a natural flow towards healthiness that includes a responsibility for the bigger picture. These are simple things like:

Taking public transportation instead of alone in the car.

Buying vegetables instead of meat.

Separating the garbage.

Cooking your own meals instead of frozen pre-cooked.

Teaching your children more than what they learn at school.

Looking at other people to see that they are unique and therefore not different from you.

Looking for growth instead of compensation for all the things that are hard in your life, knowing that our children copy our behavior, they value our attitudes.

Caring for a just political system with a vote from the heart.

Understanding that greed is one of the biggest destroyers in our world, so live simple and act in faith, believing that what you really need will be there.

The most beautiful diamond can be found within each of us but its facets will always reflect the world that surround us. If you want to polish your diamond, right… You have to polish the world around you.

Integrating the Underworld

Biosynthesis can be a journey to realize your biggest potential.

When we speak of Essence in Biosynthesis, for me, we speak of the potential to realize the divine within us. Enter in contact with the God or Goddess within.

That may sounds pretentious but I believe that each of us can discover that our deepest and maybe final desire is exactly this longing for divinity. For most people it is already hard to admit that we are divine creatures, see the reflection in our society. Once we contact that particular desire we have to find the courage to go on a journey into our underworld.

Dwelling in our shadows, in the claustrophobia of repressed emotions and soul expressions to find the burning ruby that is the symbol for passion and embrace for Life in its total existence. With the glow of the ruby you can find the Horn of Plenty, owned by Hades. Discovering this horn within yourself means revealing all your potential.

Only then we can climb the stairs towards the light and join the two polarities of our Being.

Mindfulness

One of the latest concepts of modern therapy is Mindfulness.
It is discovered and brought to us as a good tool to achieve concentration and inner peace.
The funny thing is that Mindfulness exists for thousands of years in Zen traditions and it is a way to achieve ultimate focus in non-being , or illumination.

Practicing Mindfulness is like the positive affirmations, the more you recite that you are only a miracle of love, the more your shadow side will bang on the door to be seen. In this way it will help us to bring light to our shadow and balance or integrate our being. Most of our shadow is unconscious, therefore shining a little light there will make us aware of its existence.

Mindfulness or Zazen, as it may be called in the ancient practice, has a same sort of effect.
The more we practice unity and inner peace, the more it will help us understand how restless we really are in the western world.
It is a journey into the realm of our Soul and our responses to an ever more dynamic or challenging world.

Mindfulness, a mind full of nothingness.

Compassion Meditation

What is compassion?
Compassion is a human emotion prompted by the pain of others. More vigorous than empathy, the feeling commonly gives rise to an active desire to alleviate another's suffering. It is often, though not inevitably, the key component in what manifests in the social context as altruism.

Next to relieving the pain of others, compassion can be a strong tool to learn about yourself.
Most of the time when we are hit by the lighting of compassion, what we want to do is save the other from its own destiny.
Much more interesting is to meditate on that person and see, feel and understand what is going on inside yourself, than, who were you trying to save?

The meditation is as follows:

Sit anywhere in a public place, just sit and breathe slow and deep, start looking around, just observing.

A certain person will attract your attention.

Without judging, observe that person closely, see how he or she is dressed, the way he or she moves, look at all the details, etcetera.

Observe the thoughts that run through your head without judging them, let them come and go.

Now, start to wonder, if I were dressed like that, how would I feel? If I said a thing with a voice like that, how would I feel, and so on.

Slowly you’ll be getting to the essence of that unknown person and with it you’ll be getting to your own essence, otherwise you will bang against your defense.

If you, like this, connect to your own essence, peace will enter into your system. Probably the need to save will be reduced.

If you fall into judging you will start to dislike the person you wanted to save in the first place. Realize how important this unknown person has become to you. Observe her or him even closer and identify with all you see and feel.

Thank the unknown person in silence and just observe your emotions.

Stay awake

The world seems to be going crazy. Suddenly all priests are pedophiles, the financial crisis is coming back again because the banks are still very greedy institutes, people die in natural disasters by the hundreds, Obama is going to be shot because he wants health-care for everyone, in the mean time oil spills threaten four USA states and all the wildlife on their shores.
We have so much horrifying information coming to us every day that it is hard to feel simply happy with a small good thing. We almost should feel guilty for having more than one simple good thing in our life.

All this information is like a big bombardment, people hide in neurosis, depression and craziness to avoid the impact of this all.

In this case closing your eyes will help you to stay awake, to focus on your core, on the things that really matter in your life.

Some people scream, "Wake up, wake, up, we're all going down together". In fact, that is a harsh lullaby to keep you in a big sleep. Waking up means closing your eyes to all these events and just sit still and enjoy the smell of spring coming through the open window.
Of course you can give some money to charity but after sending it, forget about all the good causes, just stay awake. Clear your head, clear your breath and simply humm....

What about Bio-everything.

Biosynthesis is much more than just another form of psychotherapy.

I would say it is a life style. It is an attitude of awareness towards yourself, the world that surrounds you and all of your relations.

It is much more than healing from all the wounds that were afflicted in the past and continue to bother our nowadays life. It is a wonderful way to enlarge your consciousness and in that way transform the old pain into new opportunities. People whom suffered from trauma, may be victims but they are also experts in understanding what trauma really is. They recognize it in other people but also in complex situations like environmental issues.

We cause trauma to nature, to our food and resources. So from the personal perspective we will learn to see the bigger picture and start to care. Resonance is an important aspect of Biosynthesis.
Did you ever resonate with the dead body of the chicken that you buy in the shop? Pufff.....
I do not say that you should be vegetarian, I’m not, but the meat of an animal that had a real life, walking around instead of being caged and fed has a completely different energy. You can feel and taste it. The animal had a life that was okay and then one day it was over. C’est la vie.

Did you ever taste the difference between a tomato that grew up in glasshouse on a bed of artificial soil, and a tomato that grew in the sun with the wind playing with the plant’s leaves?

There is a serious difference and the moment you understand, feel and appreciate that, then you become a bio-spiritual person.
Symbiosis is considered a primal stage in human development, where the child is completely depending on and psychological intermingled with the mother. After three months the child slowly starts to discover that he or she is an individual being that exists separated from the mother. It is not the mother, it is not the father, so it begins the process of creating an own identity. When it does not succeed in distinguishing the self from others, it becomes a pathological symbiosis, something we often find in therapy.

However, on a biological level, we are Mum and Dad because we grew from the fusion of their individual cells. Cells that were attuned to the electromagnetic pulses of their souls and that will keep attuning to their souls if the child is, somehow, not strong enough to direct the cells to attune to its own electromagnetic pulses. In that sense, creating an identity means, attuning to the frequency of your individual soul. It is like finding the right station on the old radio by running the pointer on the frequency scale. It also means that your “Basic Identity” is already there and waiting for new experiences to be lived. You just have to find it, recognize it and claim it as yours. For some people this can take a lifetime.

My mother died a few days ago and I was thinking and imagining what would happen to a person trapped in symbiosis. Its individual cells would still attune to the frequency of a soul that realizes that the body has died. Great distress, enormous confusion will be the result if the person is not able to manage to find its own frequency at that moment.
Often the death of a parent can help to find your own identity and in that sense, to be free at last.

On Death and Dying.

Death is a fact. It is the end of life as we know it.
From the moment we are born there is only one certainty and that is death.
That makes death not so interesting because one moment you are here and the next moment you are in death, whatever that may be. We can speculate on that share ideas and other people's experiences, but that is it.

Dying is a process and it is very alive.

Some people have never been more alive than when they were dying.
Suddenly the spark of life hits them with full force. They have bodily sensations, spiritual experiences like they could never imagine before. Often their lives have been a chain of self limiting events but suddenly they see the light, they have a glimpse of how life can be. Then when they wake up at the end of their lives, they don’t want to die. This will be a process of suffering and fear.

It was Krisnamurti who said; ‘Live your life in a way that you are willing to die every day.’

Dying is a very interesting process and not only for the person who is in this transformation but also for the ones that surround him or her.

Several of my love ones have passed away, a painful experience in the beginning of letting go and accepting but I realized that there is always a present for you in the dying process of the other.

That makes it very precious to be close to the departing one and have, if possible, an open communication that has the possibility for all your fears to be allowed.
But this communication also should be open to the intense moments of deep joy that can exist in this process. Transcendental sharing of powerful love and life.

Willing to die every day is not suicidal when you live your life focused and centered in the spiritual being that is you.

Willing to die every day means that you understand that the difference between life and death is the difference between two hands that meet.

International Biosynthesis group

>Since a few days Milton Correa and Me are managing a new intiative called the international Biosynthesis Group.

The objectives are:

* On a scientific level to discuss ideas, visions, questions. To share articles, book reviews, new developments in the fields of psychotherapy, psychology, biology, philosophy, healing, etc. in fact anything that might be interesting to help us deepen our understanding of human existence. All these issues can be started by any group member.

* The promotion of workshops, congresses, training, etc. Please do that under the tab ‘News’. In this way we create a clear structure that divides the scientific discussions from the promotional part.

We hope to create a worldwide community of people involved or interested in Biosynthesis. The group will be open to trainers, therapists, students and anyone curious to know about Biosynthesis.
We would like to have your concordance that this group serves a scientific purpose and is a platform where we can meet people that have similar interests and the desire to develop Biosynthesis into a third generation therapy that will be available all around the globe.

We are going to need YOUR help to promote the group.

Go to http://www.linkedin.com/ and if you do not have an account, you can make it for free.
Then search in the groups for Biosynthesis and request to join.

Linkedin is a site for professional networking, so you can find lots of people with the same professional interest as you have.

Be welcome to join the Biosynthesis around the world adventure. Life is like a hurricane, blowing us of our feet, at least, if you do not hide in a small corner.

Heavy rain falling, violent winds blowing, all kind of articles flying through the air and you need all your forces to secure yourself. Often the storm blows you off your feet. Life is like that for a person who is not well centered, not all of the time, of course, there are also times that are calm and everything seems to be allright. But when the hurricane comes you better start looking for the center.
The eye of the storm is a place where it is calm, the sky is clear, representing a spiritual connection and from where you are, you can see all the turmoil around you without being swept off your feet.

You are centered, not identifying with all the crazyness going on but you can see it. And while the hurricane or life moves on, you move with it, attuned to the eye and connected to earth.
Centering is like that, finding that calm and silent place within you. From there you can see all the illusion of superficial but violent movement around you that we call life.
You can see the repetition of useless patrons, going around in circles. all the time.
Centering is not, hiding in the corner untill the storm passes, but it is standing in the middle where you can hear your breath, feel your heart beat, relaxed and strong.

You need nothing more.

Grounding and Home video's

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 255px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_ks2ejPjofec/SnyVsB1OiBI/AAAAAAAAAE4/IJf6C7n9AjA/s320/comedycapers03.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5367329439557257234" />
Grounding is one of the basic concepts in Biosynthesis.

In very simple words you can says that it means, 'understanding and being able to deal with the reality of your being in a situation.'

The Portuguese word is 'Rooting' like the roots of a tree that grow deep into the soil to nourish the tree and prevent it from falling down. But of course Grounding is not a rigid thing; a person can move, dance, walk or run well grounded, as we say.

And it goes further, a person can be well grounded in the way he or she speaks, choosing words that are to the point, explaining exactly what needs to be explained and dedicated to the listener, so he can understand what is being communicated.

So the opposite of grounding is moving and falling, talking and stuttering, explaining and not being understood, etc.
And we love it when it happens to other people than ourselves.
It started with Charley Chaplin and all the slapstick comedy guys and since we are able to record video we became the target of the exposure of the lack of grounding. The more the others fall and stumble, we shake with laughter.
The great success of the Home Video shows on television is that we see other people doing stupid things while we are sitting on the lazy couch looking full of fascination to a box with a glass front where light is projected.
Who has a lack of grounding?

Even stupid people can discover things!

That may sound a little bit bold but it is a fact.

Two weeks ago I thought it would be a good idea to spray the bramble bushes with a herbicide. That was the moment in which I found out that the dogs had eaten my protection mask, they chew on anything. That’s where I turned stupid, although I am aware that some people would call me stupid just for having the idea of spraying.

So I decided to spray anyway and stay upwind. Well, that’s another big illusion because the wind always tends to shift the moment you take a deep breath. The next day I was sweating, feeling dizzy as if I had an enormous hangover, my heart was beating like a marching band and I had serious trouble focusing. How stupid can you be?

The next day I woke up with my lungs burning. I could feel them as if I was looking in a human anatomy book. I had to make an effort for every breath and at a certain moment I started to doubt my own optimistic prognosis. Where would this end?
Panic started to roll in like waves on a shore, every next time a little bit stronger. That was when I decide that I really had to see a doctor, make lung x-rays, consult the centre for poisoning, etc.

The most interesting thing was to see how the panic affected my energy level, it went down like a waterfall, leaving me exhausted.
It was funny because I was aware of the panic attacking me, I knew what to do and especially that I had to shut down my mind.
Thinking was like a rollercoaster going around with high speed, screaming and completely irrational. I managed to shut it down by walking very slowly through the hospital corridor looking at every little detail that I could find and stretching my spine while I, also very slowly, inhaled.

I am slowly recovering now and I realized that I learned that I cannot trust labels on bottles. It is considered a biological product that does not harm people or animals…..

Hello, are you awake ?

Who am I?

Am I half my mother and half my father?
Am I a dream?
Am I a useful member of society?
Am I illusion?
Am I the reincarnation of a King?
Am I soul?
Am I the reflection of the world around?
Am I light?
Am I the projection of my eternal spirit?
Am I body?
Am I the wish of my parents?
Am I breath?
Am I the result of Karma?
Am I love?
Am I a movie star on the stage of the world?
Am I sound?
Am I the creation of God?
Am I God?
Am I the dog that I stroke?
Am I touch?
Am I ever shifting souls looking for ascension?
Am I movement?
Am I the hero with a thousand faces?
Am I pure?
Am I you?
Am I me?
Am I One?

1

Losing illusions

All the great thinkers, religions, etc. say that the important thing in life is to understand that it is all illusion. Only our very essence is real. The rest has no importance.
I do agree and I managed to see through some of the most interesting illusions of life.
It makes life in a certain way less painful, less suffering and it forces you to start looking more into interior experiences instead of drinking in all the excitement that comes from outside of us.

But losing illusions is also boring, it is like being the only sober person amidst a group a drunk, they laugh, do crazy things, nothing they say makes sense but who cares?
The next day they have forgotten all the nonsense they lived the night before but the sober person remembers it all.

Losing illusions creates emptiness, a big question mark that lacks the question that should go in front of it. It is a serious problem!
What to do with the emptiness?

Nothing???

Fun on a scoot mobile

I am in Holland at this moment. I am surprised by the number of people driving a state furnished piece of three wheel electrical transport for the disabled: The Scoot Mobile.
These vehicles are meant for physically disabled persons, they give you lots of advantages, you don't have to walk, carry your shopping's, they give you a social status, etc.
Looking at these thing I thought, what a wonderful society, taking care of those that have less options in life.
But then I saw them parking in front of the shops where nobody is allowed to park, they jump off the vehicle and hurry into the shop. Coming back they stuff the thing with shopping's and hop behind the wheel. Off they go.
At first I though, My GOD, this is a victim society. Then looking at their smiling faces I realized they were having lots of fun on a government sponsored device.

Fun on a scoot mobile, isn't it great.
I have seen them end up in ditches, almost drowning, banging into each other, trying to kill the pedestrians. It's a lot of fun and as a bonus you have all the attention from police, ambulances, firemen, etc. What more do you want when you are 65 ???

Spirituality and the body

There is a thing called false or fake spirituality. Jesus already talked about it when he chased the priests out of the temple. They were trying get power and material enrichment by fooling the believers.
But I am talking about those who are only trying to fool themselves.
In that case we are talking about those who want to escape from the physical reality by claiming that enlightenment is the only reality that is worth living. Enlightenment, then, means flying high above the earth while you can still have your vegetarian meal every day, drink your glass of wine and have sex from time to time when the hormones start to boil in the body.Pretending that you are a holy person, looking down on everything that is material.
They are trying to escape from the body while this body in fact is a very solid projection of your spiritual being. True spirituality means including the body.

So, instead of having the body as a point of departure to become a spiritual being, it is the other way around. We are spiritual beings that are trying to incarnate a body, we are trying to experience Life in a body. But what many of us do is running away from the body as fast as we can, or torture it as if the body is a sinful object.
But our body is a result of our spirituality. It's the jewel in the crown and we only have it for a short while to treat it well and enjoy it instead of all the suffering. Suffering makes no sense, it is stupid.
I know that most religions preach suffering but they really do not know what they are talking about, they have no idea what spirituality means, so forget them and listening to your own inner voice. Love your body.

I do not say go and abuse your body in a attempt to enjoy it, no, not at all.
As there is a inner voice, there are also inner laws, real desires instead of those that we use for compensating all our suffering. Spirituality means living in resonance with these inner laws and express them through the body.
Our crown chakra is supposed to be the gateway to spirituality but once again, the body is the jewel in this crown.

Less is more.

One interesting concept in Biosynthesis is that Less is More.
It boils down to, instead of shooting all our therapeutic competences to the client, the therapist should enter in a state of mindfulness and resonance with the client. From there you can observe the tiny movements behind all the display of anger, grief and not knowing. You can hear the voice of a persons Soul expressing it true needs.
We can be angry and expressing this for the rest of our lives, but doing so we easily cover up these little hints from our essence.
A person can scream and shout but only when he stops, the shiny tear pops up in the corner of his eye.

It's no so difficult to make a step to nowadays life.
Excessive sleeping, working, food consumption, hectic relations and so on. They are all synonymous to anger or depression, which in the end is in fact Fear of Life. Often for well understandable reasons like abuse, rejection, etc. Still its fear and if we here also apply the concept of less is more, these lives would finally gain in quality and it would also result in creating a better understanding for those who have less then little, like the billion people suffering from hunger everyday. Their motto of course is, More is Better. And for a while that will be definitely true, until the Better grows to be TOO MUCH and then less is more again.
Funny how Life is always about finding a balance, it's dynamic, it's alive.

A simple diet

I do not tell you a secret when I say that the world is crazy.
Since Portugal has been invaded by the fast-food chains, the obesity rate has gone up enormous. In the old days people died with ninety years of age after a hard life. Most of them died with lung problems because they heated the house with open fire and no chimney.
Nowadays they die of a poor heart that is slowly strangled in excessive body fat.

With the burger and Mac’s and all the other tasteless junk came also the whole program of expensive and non-functioning diet systems. It’s big business.

But there is a simple diet, tasty, satisfying and available even for poor people, because it came from poor people. Now these people are stuffing their bellies with super polysaturated fat meat imported from the other side of the world while the secret grows in their backyards. The small garden behind the house where they planted carrots, beans, cabbage, tomatoes, etc.

The Portuguese traditional fishermen food is prepared as follows.

Get some fresh fish and boil it in lots a of water.
When the fish is cooked take it out of the pan and put there fresh cabbage, fresh carrots and potatoes and let it stir until the potatoes are ready.
Slice some freshly cooked beetroot and half a onion.
Boil an egg from a chicken that runs in the backyard.
Now put it all together on a plate and sprinkle the whole scenery with chopped fresh garlic, fresh lemon juice and a good quality olive oil.

You can make lots of meals with the following keywords, fresh, home grown or organically grown, no other fat then olive oil.

Prepare this for yourself two or three times a week and after a while you feel disgusted when you enter a junk restaurant.

Bom appetite, said this Sinner

Tears in the rain

Looking for personal growth, Self-development is something that I admire in people that practice it in all their daily activities.
It takes courage to arise from mediocrity, to show your face to the world, trying to acknowledge your divinity.
Real spirituality is like tears in the rain. It’s there but it’s no very different from what is happening around. Most people do not even notice it is there. You could say that they are blind but I think they just look the other way, focus on other things. Until one day they find that they are in tears and no one else notices.

The interesting thing in personal growth is that we, Westerns, almost always look for quick solutions, something to get it done with, so we can move on. It is funny then to realize that this process is one that goes beyond life and death. Once we understand that we are in the middle of the process we cannot get out again. Some persons feel trapped but in fact we were more trapped when we were unconscious of our process, because even without being aware the process was always there. Panta Rhei. We were walking around like chicken without a head.
Do you also start to wonder what is my thing with chicken???

Tears in the rain, they roll down my cheeks, flow through the gutter to the open sea, evaporate into clouds, form raindrops that fall on my mountain and finally I will drink them, nourishment, life.
But I will also drink yours and you, mine. They all intermingle.
Can you imagine walking in the street, looking at strangers knowing that one day you will drink in their tears?
I am one of them.

Do not worry; there is no deep symbolical meaning behind this photo.
I just like it.

Band aids

In psychotherapy we see that people that are cruel towards others and themselves, often, are people that were wounded psychologically and in fact they are afraid of suffering the same trauma again and again. So, they unconsciously decide to cause trauma instead of being traumatized. Kill them before they kill me.

What they really need is recognition for their suffering and a sort of Big Symbolic Band-Aid, saying: “I am ill but taken care of.”

When I am in the streets or shops, happily I see lots of people that are okay but I also see lots of people with a face that should be covered with a band-aid. Faces that express fear, disillusion, frustration, anger, rage. All souls that were traumatized, one way or the other. They walk around like foxes in the henhouse and we don’t act.

Watching TV I see the same thing happening. Countries, terrorists, crazy people, killing and fighting, cooking explosives in a frying pan instead of preparing a healthy meal for the family.

Where are the bloody band-aids?
Now, in Germany the owner of the biggest medicine farm killed himself because he lost billions of euro’s and has no money to pay the workers. So, now we know, he was feeling guilty but the workers are still without money.

The only way is facing the music with a big band-aid on your head. Do not let it cover your eyes, do not let it cover your ears, do not let it cover your mouth, do not let it cover your heart.

I am ill but taken care of, wouldn’t that be nice?

The white hen died….

Happy New year for all of you..

After coming home from a Christmas break, it was raining like hell in Monchique. The chicken were all in the henhouse except my favorite white hen. She was sitting in the mud, all wet and dirty.

I went up to her but she could not move and then I discovered that her breast was all open and infected. Clearly she had been attacked by an animal, a little fox or something like that.

I sat with her for a while on my lap, talking to her and gathering courage to do what was inevitable. I had to kill the only chick that was not afraid of me. Isn’t live strange?

I kill chicken for dinner with no problem but once we are attached, have a relation, the whole quality of this act changes.
I even shed some tears…

Bye bye white chick, happy heaven for you.

German dreams

Last night I dreamed and it was in the German language…
Is that a nightmare or what???

For Dutch person it is a nightmare because since the II world War somebody planted some anti-German genes in our cheese head bodies. How do you get these genes out again?
I ask you because, in fact, I think that dreaming in a foreign language is nice way of extending your borders and I don’t want it to be connected to a negative impression.
Probably some people tell me to start dreaming in another language like English or Chinese.

Chinese would be good because I have a Chinese doctor and she treated my infected tooth with acupuncture and smelly herbs and it results very good. The infection was there for more then three months and I kept in control with Ibuprofen because the dentist would take the tooth out or give a year’s ration of antibiotics.
This wonder doctor lives in the Algarve and I thank here.

Back to German. There is a cell biologist, Bruce Lipton, a very interesting person who claims that each of us activates the genes in our body, consciously or unconsciously. Look him up on the internet and ignore all the stupid genes.

If what he says is true then I should only decide to love all my German neighbors and it will work out fine. And what’s more, If that works for me and Germans, then it will work for Jews and Palestines, for Paquistani and Indians, for North and South Koreans.
Do I need to continue this list?

Vielen dank und auf wiedersehen.

My special Christmas Prayer

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 212px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_ks2ejPjofec/ST-Pn1jB2MI/AAAAAAAAAC8/alsM6ipfw30/s320/communicatie.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5278095202853181634" />

Just imagine.
Christ, Mohamed and Buddha robbed a bank. It has hands and arms to strangle but no face, no soul.
So let’s work together and save our souls. Behind that second skin there can be something going on that is beautiful. It will appear at the right moment for that person, not when you want it but when the person is ready.

Why this story?
This morning I was looking at the banana tree in the rain, it's cold and wet and shaken by the wind. But these green little bananas they just hang there. They do not seem to care but inside the green skin there is something going on, growing, ripening. It takes them more then a year to become sweet and wonderful bananas and when they are ready their skin start to turn yellow. Like saying to the world, Now I am Ready!!!

I think it is not so bad to be bananas if that means respecting your rhythm, your pace and keeping your secrets until they are ready to be shown to the world.
You decide.................

and at least monkeys like bananas!

Take care of your garden,
Theo

Christmas presents

Today I decided to give an early christmas present to my roses in the garden.
Fresh cow dung, it's a lot of shit really.

But it was not easy, I had to climb a mountain to get to a place where a farmer has twenty cows. Next I had to shovel the shit in a wheelbarrel and transport it all the way down to the garden.
Going up the mountain was not too hard but going down with a load of cow shit on a slippery mud road isn't very easy. But I managed and now I know that the roses will bloom next spring.

Isn't funny that we have to give lots of shit for them to be happy and beautiful?

So what if we start to shovel our own metaphorical shit and give it as a Christmas present to the ones that deserve it. Can you see your rose in bloom?

Do we really have to work our shit to become beautiful people, or is that a lot of crap???

Theo

The field of intentionality

In Biosynthesis we work with the field of intentionality, this is something like the morphogenetic fields of Rupert Sheldrake. I had a nice conversation with our trainer Estela about this field. When I got home something interesting happened the next day......................

We have one rooster and 13 hens, one is white the rest is brown.

In the morning Manuela said, lets kill two hens today for a nice meal.
I said, okay, but we won't kill the white hen!

When I entered the henhouse all the chicken ran away, except the white one, she stayed close to me and did not show any sign of fear.
Then I caught two good chicks and we killed them.

A few hours later I noticed that the other brown chicken were becoming pale like their feathers were painted with aquarelle and it fades away in the rain.
I turned to Manuela and said, do you think I am getting delirious but she confirmed my observation. They were turning white, at least they were trying to.
I went to the henhouse and they all ran away except the white one, the white one knew that I did not have the intention to kill here and serve for supper.

I know some of you won't like this story because of me killing the girls but that's life.

What is interesting is that our intentions, conscious and unconscious are available for others to read and probably travel through space and time.

Now, its one month later and the chicken never recovered their beautiful brown colour.........

strange story but true

Theo

Welcome and Bem vindo

Hello dear visitor

Welcome to our Blog

I am Theo and I am from Holland, Manuela is from Portugal and we are setting up a training for Biosynthesis, a somatic psychotherapy, in the Algarve. (southern part of Portugal)
Biosynthesis is a third generation therapy that combines somatic, cognitive and spiritual aspects of the human being to reveal the persons essence. Next to therapy it is also a wonderful way to extend your personal development.
But I do not want to talk about Biosynthesis, we have a website and brochures for those that are interested.
(see http://www.crescimento.org)

I would like to talk about the strange things that happen in our lives, things that sometimes need an answer and sometimes only need to be shared because not everything has a clear answer.

First I want to give you a Haikai from a Japanse master called Masaoka Shiki (1867-1902)

rowing through
out of the mist
the wide sea

This Haikai I wrote on the card for my fathers funeral.
But it is good to realize that we do not have to die physically to embrace the greatness of life
it can also be a metaphorical death.

just breath in and open your eyes and see
Then close your eyes and exhale
how subtle death can be

Please feel free to react

Theo
